Pastor Frederick D. Nettles Jr. is the Founder and Senior Pastor of Living Word Fellowship Ministries (LWFM), established in Springfield, Illinois in August 2000. For over two decades, he has served the body of Christ with a singular mandate: to Empower, Equip, and Release believers into their God-given purpose.
 

Pastor Nettles brings a rare combination of spiritual authority and executive leadership to the ministry. A retired senior Illinois state government executive, he served for over 30 years in roles that prepared him far beyond the halls of government — including as Director of the Grants Accountability and Transparency Act (GATA) Office at the Illinois State Board of Education, where he oversaw a multi-billion dollar grant portfolio across thousands of organizations statewide. Prior to that, he served in leadership roles at the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).
 

Before his government career, Pastor Nettles served proudly in the United States Air Force, where the foundations of discipline, integrity, and servant leadership were forged.

He holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt — credentials that reflect his commitment to excellence in every area of life.
 

Pastor Nettles is the author of two books: Living Behind the Veil: A Divine Journey Beyond the Veil and its sequel, Discovering the Glory of God: Living Behind the Veil Part II — both anchored in the ministry's central theme of encountering God behind the veil. His teachings on supernatural faith, prophetic ministry, and Kingdom principles have impacted believers locally, regionally, and internationally.
 

He also serves as Overseer of Kingdom Life Christian Ministries in Belleville, Illinois, and his global vision — to raise up an army that will shake nations — continues to expand through media, teaching, and ministry partnerships.
